SIICUSP 31st - 2nd Phase Every year we have the International Symposium of Scientific Iniciation at USP, where undergrads involved in research projects can show their results. There are two phases, in the first phase students compete for a place in the 2nd phase, in which the best projects of each institute will be presented.
A few years ago we sequenced the genomes of some yeast strains used in cachaca production, a Brazilian spirit. Today our paper was published in Applied and Environmental Microbiology a journal of the American Society for Microbiology.
Isabella Poletto participated at the “XXIV ENcontro de Genetica do Nordeste - ENGENE” The XXIV ENGENE is a conference organized by the Brazilian Genetic Society, bringing together researchers in genetics and its intersections with biological, health, agricultural, and environmental sciences.

Bioinformatics Workshop 2023 - USP XIV Simpósio dos Pós-Graduandos no CENA/USP The “XXII Bioinformatics Post-Graduate Workshop IME/USP” took place between October 19th to 20th in São Paulo capital city. Arthur Shuzo Owtake Cardo, undegrad in our group, participated and won the Fist Place as Best Poster Award - Session 01, with his poster: Standardization of Plant Comparative Transcriptomics Analyses Using Experimental Metadata and Ontology Terms.
